Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-5399) Offer pluggable security for inter-node communication
Date Thu, 28 Mar 2013 23:19:16 GMT

Brandon Williams commented on CASSANDRA-5399:

Out of curiosity, what else would you like to use? It seems that the transport would have
to be encrypted anyway, if it's the auth part you want pluggable.

> Inter-node communication can be only encrypted using TLS/SSL; it would be good to allow
this piece to be pluggable, as is the case with authentication/authorization of Thrift requests
and endpoint snitch implementations.
