Sylvain Lebresne commented on CASSANDRA-4687:

bq. So either we're actually writing empty row keys, or we're seeking into the file at a strange
offset

Since Leonid has bisected it to the global cache patch, my vote would be for the "new" key
cache returning a bogus offset yielding to seeking in a wrong position. Clearly it would be
very helpful if either Radim or Lenoid can reproduce with Jonathan's patch, but in the meantime
we should probably start looking that way.

> Under heavy write load sometimes cassandra fails with assertion error.
> git bisect leads to commit 295aedb278e7a495213241b66bc46d763fd4ce66.
> works fine if global key/row caches disabled in code.
