Subject [jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-4499) CassandraStorage allow_deletes doesn't work in Hadoop cluster
Date Tue, 07 Aug 2012 23:23:09 GMT
Jeremiah Johnson created CASSANDRA-4499:
-------------------------------------------

             Summary: CassandraStorage allow_deletes doesn't work in Hadoop cluster
                 Key: CASSANDRA-4499
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4499
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Contrib
    Affects Versions: 1.1.3
            Reporter: Jeremiah Johnson

When using CassandraStorage in a Pig script that runs in a Hadoop cluster, the environment
variable configuration option for allow_deletes doesn't work. I'd like to see allow_deletes
added as a URL parameter.

For example, I'd like to do
STORE storable_events INTO 'cassandra://drlcrs/event?allow_deletes=true' USING org.apache.cassandra.hadoop.pig.CassandraStorage();
