Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-3424) Selecting just the row_key returns nil instead of just the row_key
Date Wed, 21 Dec 2011 20:25:30 GMT

Jonathan Ellis commented on CASSANDRA-3424:

bq. Shouldn't we include the versions from the 0.8 series in this as well?

IMO? No, because we changed enough other CQL behavior from 0.8 to 1.0 that they have bigger
things to worry about.

bq. If you're suggesting that we fix regressions as soon as they are identified as such, instead
of propagating them across 3 more releases because we prefer the new behavior, then I emphatically

Fine, mea culpa. We should have reverted this for 1.0.5. I'm sorry that I had other priorities
at the time. But today the relevant issue is what the responsible thing to do is for 1.0.7
given the background I outlined, not what I should have done a month ago.
