He did, but we removed it at an earlier stage of the review, for the reasons listed here (so
if it's decided that we should have one, I'll do the work to put it back in).

OK, that makes sense.  Though, it would seem to add another data-point to the "API to remove
PSes isn't necessary" argument, since a close() on a pooled a connection isn't going to remove
the statement server-side anyway.
