Subject [jira] [Resolved] (CASSANDRA-3643) Cassandra C CQL driver

Sylvain Lebresne resolved CASSANDRA-3643.

    Resolution: Duplicate

Closing this as duplicate of CASSANDRA-2478. This is *not* saying C support wouldn't be useful/needed,
but there is just not that many possibilities:
* either thrift adds better support for it -- this has to do with the thrift project.
* or we wait for CASSANDRA-2478 and then someone creates a C driver using that (note that
CQL drivers live out of tree so even post-2478 there is not much point to letting this ticket

it to be used from within a C application.

Cassandra with an application written in C is just not possible in an elegant manner at the
current moment in time.
> With the development of CQL, it would really be great if one could run CQL commands from
within a C library, very much like libmysqlclient.
