with your change in the dir layout, it is indeed cleaner.

but your latest patch does not loop over all the components. so SStable.getFilename() only gives you the -Data.db file, and not the Index.db, statistics.db etc.
I have seen the system complain in tests, if such files are not restored together.

so you may want to add the loop over components
