Subject [jira] [Updated] (CASSANDRA-2384) Merge Mutation and CounterMutation thrift structure
Date Fri, 25 Mar 2011 13:03:05 GMT

Sylvain Lebresne updated CASSANDRA-2384:

    Attachment: 0002-Merge-CounterMutation-and-Mutation.patch

Attaching patch against trunk.

The code apply after CASSANDRA-2321 because the refactoring of ThriftValidation in there allows
to do proper validation for this patch.

An added benefits is that right now, when we receive a CounterMutation, we transform it into
a Mutation to use generic code. This patch now avoids this useless re-encapsulation.

a standard and counter mutation in the same batch_mutate (you have to use batch_add for counters).
It's probably a good idea to merge CounterMutation and Mutation (and simply remove batch_add)
to lift that limitation.
