Subject [jira] Commented: (CASSANDRA-1536) Detect use of secondary indexes with TTL'd columns
Date Thu, 23 Sep 2010 21:42:32 GMT

Stu Hood commented on CASSANDRA-1536:

In KEYS indexes, the entry could be made to the index with a TTL as well, and KEYS_BITMAP
indexes require post filtering anyway, so this might actually be an easy fix.

A reasonable temporary solution would be to fail inserts of TTL'd entries for indexed columns.
> A longer term solution might be to record/detect the presence of expiring columns for
an expression, and use that information to require post filtering in CFS.scan.
