Subject [jira] Commented: (CASSANDRA-749) Secondary indices for column families
Date Thu, 25 Mar 2010 01:45:27 GMT

Jonathan Ellis commented on CASSANDRA-749:
------------------------------------------

If we had megastore-style entity groups and distributed transaction log, then keeping non-local
indexes in sync becomes a non-problem. (Although performance still sucks, apparently.)

Of course that's one hell of a prerequisite. So I still think local indexes are the sane
short term solution. And we do need indexes sooner than later.
