Johan Oskarsson commented on CASSANDRA-116:
-------------------------------------------

Most users will end up accessing Cassandra from thrift anyway so I think it's a good place
to start.
But to be honest I haven't tried the CLI interface myself, if someone wants to describe how
it works here we can decide if it is a better route.

> To help first time users try out Cassandra we can remove the need for installing and
building Thrift by supplying generated python files that can be used from the command line
using this guide: http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CSDR/ThriftInterface
