ok - I see the problem. Try this instead:

             public void configure() throws Exception {

                 from("direct:foo")
                 .inOut("activemq:queue:a", "activemq:queue:b")
                 .to("mock:result");

                 from("activemq:queue:a")
                 .bean(foo, "doA");

                 from("activemq:queue:b")
                 .bean(foo, "doB");

             }
