What version of Apache ServiceMix are you using? And do you use the Camel
version that it came with out of the box?

You should consider using OSGi blueprint for the future as it works and
plays much much better in OSGi than Spring DM does. And its more
lightweight.

Anyway we have seen those issues with spring-dm before.
For example try to deploy you application *after* Apache ServiceMix has
started (and all the osgi bundles et all has been installed and running).
Then at that point deploy your bundle.

If its still a problem you can try to upgrade to latest SMX release.

Also you can try the Fuse ESB distribution of Apache ServiceMix. We do more
frequent releases of SMX (and patch releases) and its tested on more
platforms etc.
