Got it!

    ...

from("netty:tcp://localhost:8888?sync=true&textline=true&ssl=true&passphrase=#secret&keyStoreFile=key.store&trustStoreFile=trust.store")
    ...

    ...
    <bean id="secret" class="java.lang.String">
    	<constructor-arg type="java.lang.String" value="42"/>
    </bean>
     <bean id="key.store" class="java.io.File">
    	<constructor-arg type="java.lang.String"
value="/path/to/keystore.jks"/>
    </bean>
     <bean id="trust.store" class="java.io.File">
    	<constructor-arg type="java.lang.String"
value="/path/to/truststore.jks"/>
    </bean>
    ...

This works but forces the client to authenticate itself with a certificate.
I couldn't find a configuration option to disable client authentication.
