Subject Camel Mail SMTP component supports alternative body, but is not documented
Date Thu, 28 May 2009 09:56:28 GMT

I need to set alternate PlainText body while sending mail, so the people who
are using non html mail clients can see the PlainText message. For this I
was going through the MailBinding component in a hope that I can edit it to
get this one working and found that it is already supported.

if you set CamelMailAlternativeBody header camel will make the message as
MultiPartMimeMessage and set this header's content as the alternative plain
text message content.

We should add this to documentation wiki. just found that I can't edit it,
so putting in this mail for records. Hope it helps someone.

Can anyone add this info to wiki? Including an additional comment for the
from header that it can accept message in the format "Rohit
<rohitas3@sdfdsf.com>" Which will set the sender id and name.
