Could you check the Tomcat logs to see if you can find any additional information about why the SOAP call failed? If there's nothing there, we can also try to use WireShark or a similar tool to check what the HTTP request and response look like -- there should be more information there. Looking at it again, you might need to specify a SOAPAction or operation, but we should learn more from the logging and/or network trace.
