Claus,

I don't think this is related to JBI, but rather to the fact that there 
is no codec specified on the mina endpoint.  Wouldn't you need something 
extra there to be able to send/receive plain text in a telnet style as 
this user wants to do?  In our Camel tutorial, we do have a working 
example like this with MINA, but it sends some binary format over the 
wire (serialized objects?) and you can't just send it plain text in a 
telnet terminal.
