Subject [jira] [Created] (CAMEL-9943) Expose mail session as a URI option for camel-mail endpoints
Date Wed, 04 May 2016 09:46:12 GMT
James Netherton created CAMEL-9943:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Expose mail session as a URI option for camel-mail endpoints
                 Key: CAMEL-9943
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-9943
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: camel-mail
            Reporter: James Netherton

In a JavaEE container, mail sessions are typically managed resources that are looked up from
JNDI or injected as resources into objects.

Right now the only way I see to configure a custom session for camel-mail is by:
{code}
mailEndpoint.getConfiguration().setSession(myMailSession);
{code}

Or by implementing a custom JavaMailSender.

It'd be nicer if we could do something like:
{code}
from("direct:start")
.to("smtp://localhost?session=#myMailSession")
{code}
