Claus Ibsen commented on CAMEL-9465:
------------------------------------

This should also defer starting the route resources such as its producers / endpoints et all.
And need logic to keep house keeping of how it goes, and be able to stop attempting to continue
start routes that would keep failing. And then we need a management api to expose details.
And karaf commands as well.

> Today when Camel is starting it fail fast if a route cannot start such as not connecting
to a database / broker etc.
> Some component has built in retry so they can try to connect later. But often you need
to enable this explicit, and this do not work for all components.
> We should add a boss task that start the routes and keep track of which routes have not
yet been started successfully and re-attempt after a delay.
> You should be able to configure an upper limit so if failed after N attempts then Camel
is shutting down. For example to allow the JVM to terminate and exit with a fail error code
etc.
