Hi,

Just add spring-boot-starter-web to your project. It will block the main thread. Or camel-boot-starter-remote-shell.
I didn't backported CAMEL-8532 because it is as easy to block the main thread. I personally
always add spring-boot-starter-web to the app to have a Jolokia endpoint exposed. 

I hope that resolves the issue. :)
