Claus Ibsen commented on CAMEL-6584:
------------------------------------

Oh I worked yesterday on those CS fixes, and also make sure to not use static configuration
on the component, and a few other tweaks.

So when the code is in Apache git repo, do you mind using that as baseline for any changes?

One thing to fix though is also that the SplunkConfiguration creates a thread etc. A configuration
should IMHO be a plain POJO without such logic. That create thread and connect to splunk server
belongs elsewhere.

Also favor using the getExecutionServiceManager from CamelContext as the API for getting a
thread pool and to shutdown the pool as well.

> I would like to donate a new component that integrates with Splunk, a platform for collecting,
analyzing and visualizing machine data in real time. http://splunk.com
> The component is hosted at github https://github.com/pax95/camel-splunk, and a example
of use can be found at https://github.com/pax95/camel-splunk-example
> There has been some discussions here http://camel.465427.n5.nabble.com/Camel-Splunk-component-td5730476.html
> The component has external dependencies on Splunk java library which is hosted at http://splunk.artifactoryonline.com/splunk/ext-releases-local/

> The library is ASL licensed, but is not osgi compliant.
