Subject [jira] [Commented] (CAMEL-6565) Component for Apache Kafka
Date Mon, 22 Jul 2013 06:54:48 GMT

Willem Jiang commented on CAMEL-6565:

Hi Stephen

Thanks for your contribution.
Now I have three questions about the dependency.
1. why we need to use metrics?
2. Can we use the zookeeper client from linkedin?

I just have a quick look at the patch. I found the camel-kafka component has the dependency
of the Scala 2.9.x, as you know Camel 2.12.x is targeting Scala 2.10.x, so I think we should
use .
BTW, is there any java client of kafka?

> Kafka uses Apache license obviously. The other dependencies are
and which are both Apache also.
