Subject [jira] [Created] (BROOKLYN-390) Value () for parameter groupId is invalid. The value cannot be empty
Date Thu, 17 Nov 2016 08:55:58 GMT
Svetoslav Neykov created BROOKLYN-390:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Value () for parameter groupId is invalid. The value cannot be empty
                 Key: BROOKLYN-390
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BROOKLYN-390
             Project: Brooklyn
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Svetoslav Neykov

I've been getting this error when following the kubernetes tutorial at clocker.io.

The tutorial asked me to create manual security groups for kubernetes and set them through
{{securityGroups}} config on the location. Could be that I set (don't remember now) the security
group as a string on the value and it requires a list? It wouldn't complain but ignore the
value.

At another time I got it when creating the SG programatically. I was having request rate limit
problems around that time. Could it be that jclouds wasn't able to get the ID for the group
by its name but just ignore it siliently, leading to an empty security group ID list.
