    good fix to a bad problem.  would be nice to route *all* persistence/reading to a separate
log file -- because another problem is that read-from-persistence logging is tuned a bit high,
which we want when rebinding, but in hot standby it goes mad (once per second, as opposed
to once ever).
    
    would it make sense to combine that with jclouds logging ?
    
    what would be really nice would be to set different limits (ie `INFO`) for seleted categories
when the thread is in persistence mode.  but i'm not sure logback is that flexible.
