Subject [jira] [Updated] (BIGTOP-633) bigtop-utils packages should depend on 'which'
Date Mon, 18 Jun 2012 22:04:42 GMT

Roman Shaposhnik updated BIGTOP-633:

Summary: bigtop-utils packages should depend on 'which' (was: Bigtop-packaged HBase packages
should depend on 'which')

'which' usage is pervasive in the scripts of Hadoop ecosystem projects. I'm pretty sure that
we also use it in bigtop-utils. Given that in Bigtop everything depends on bigtop-utils we
can solve the problem of making sure that which is installed by making it a dependency of
bigtop-utils package.

(in this case, HBase's) use which. See
for a user who ran into this.
