Agreed. I was expecting more stones to be thrown at me :)

I can open a ticket upstream as long as we agree it does not have to be inv=
estigated by end of this week for the preparation Apache Bigtop release :)
But actually this is no less nasty than what we already have. I would rathe=
r open another ticket for us to entirely get rid of the LDFLAGS override. E=
ven more so when the -lcrypto is already fixed but not yet backported into =
Hadoop 1.0.X afaik.
We need to figure out what happens for each of these, see if they are alrea=
fy fixed and get them backported/contribute a patch if needed.
