Hi James,

Are you using the latest codes in SVN ?
I tried your LmsTest.jws, but WSDL correctly returns "xsd:base64Binary".

Could you please check your WEB-INF/server-config.wsdd ?
If it contains the following handler 
<handler type="java:org.apache.beehive.wsm.axis.DropInDeploymentHandler">
   <parameter name="scope" value="session"/>
</handler>
you must be using old codes in SVN.
DropInDeploymentHandler no longer exists.
