sure it works.

The class would be called Java, but the URL to call this would still
uses the .JWS.

By calling the class .java it would mean that your IDE would be able to
work with it.   The URL must still use the .jws since this is how we
configure the tomcat's servlet mappings.    You could potentially change
the mapping and thus avoid the .jws all together.
