Subject [jira] Created: (BEEHIVE-865) Error finding message-resources when no message or message key is specified on Jpf.Catch annotation.

Error finding message-resources when no message or message key is specified on Jpf.Catch annotation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: BEEHIVE-865
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEEHIVE-865
     Project: Beehive
        Type: Bug
  Components: NetUI
    Versions: v1m1
    Reporter: lisa Cannon-Morrett
    Priority: Minor

I've noticed a problem with the Jpf.Catch annotation. If I only specify the type and method
for a Jpf.Catch annotation, and do not specify a mesasge or messageKey element, I get an error
in the tomcat console. I've been able to work around it by just specifying a message element.
  The javadoc says that message and messageKey are optional elements.

Here's the annotation code:

@Jpf.Controller(
		catches={
			  @Jpf.Catch(type=MissingCatalogEntryException.class,
				     method="handleMissingCatalogEntryException")
		}
)

Here's the error from the tomcat console:

  ERROR DefaultExceptionsHandler Could not find message-resources for bundle
    org.apache.struts.action.MESSAGES

Here's the workaround:
@Jpf.Controller(
		catches={
			  @Jpf.Catch(type=MissingCatalogEntryException.class,
				   method="handleMissingCatalogEntryException",
    		                                             message="A catalog entry is missing"),

                                           }
)
