We want to stay away from methods which only take a single thing to do since often we can
do better with bulk and people will just use the inefficient one even though they have a list
of things they want to get done because it will seem easier. For users that truly only do
have one thing to copy, then they should rely on [https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/java/util/Collections.html#singletonList-T-].
