    The Java DirectRunner needs `WriteFiles` to be well-defined with a payload in order to
detect (and provide) runner-specified sharding.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/kennknowles/beam WriteFiles-translation

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    https://github.com/apache/beam/pull/3274.patch
