I don't know that we have to aggressively match all possibilities. I think it is fine to do
what we do today and have a clear "static" method API. Otherwise you get annoying cases where,
for example, two of them are applicable. We should probably move towards some explicit annotation-based
approach like Jackson with its {{JsonCreator}}.
