Subject [jira] [Commented] (BATCHEE-26) rename our Database table names
Date Thu, 10 Apr 2014 15:54:25 GMT

Romain Manni-Bucau commented on BATCHEE-26:
-------------------------------------------

About testing just setup an embedded database (maybe use jpa to setup it - with openjpa you
just need to do a find on any table with an id existing or not to force it to create tables)
and then query it with jdbc PersistenceManager. Just use it manually without the whole JBatch
runtime to start small.

If I find time next week I'll try to give you more details (ping me if I forget ;)).

> Currently our DB Tables are named 1:1 like the entities
> * JobExecutionEntity
> * CheckpointEntity
> * JobInstanceEntity
> * StepExecutionEntity
> I'd rather rename them to something more meaningful:
> * JB_EXECUTION
> * JB_CHECKPOINT
> * JB_JOBINSTANCE
> * JB_STEPEXECUTION
> Of course this needs a small alter table for people already using batchee-0.1. But it
will be much more clear and easier to find in the db schema later.
