This looks like it will do what I'm after, it sounds similar to TcpMon with some logging functionality.

However, if I was able to avoid using another piece of software to act as a proxy for logging
that would be nicer. Is there a way for Axis2 to deliver the same logging functionality; saving
the XML messages sent/received to a specified log file?

Try using the TcpTrace tool to trace/log SOAP messages. It can be

Out of curiosity, is there a simple way to turn on logging of SOAP
messages in/out of Axis2 web services? Do I have to install a module to
