You could use the Axis2 MessageContext to retrieve an AXIOM representation 
of the SOAPEnvelope. For example, something like
"org.apache.axiom.soap.SOAPEnvelope se = 
org.apache.axis2.context.MessageContext.getCurrentMessageContext
().getEnvelope();" may get you started.
