Subject [Axis2] Jibx2Wsdl start-from-code tool
Date Fri, 11 May 2007 10:42:54 GMT
I've uploaded a preliminary version of the new Jibx2Wsdl tool to
http://www.sosnoski.com/jibx-wiki/space/axis2-jibx/jibx2wsdl The wiki
page has some usage directions, and there's a set of three sample pages
that show how things work with example code.

Jibx2Wsdl takes the start-from-code approach to web service development
to a new level. It allows you to expose existing code as web services
using Axis2 and JiBX data binding, while retaining the flexibility to
modify your data model and adjust the JiBX bindings so that the XML is
unchanged. Alternatively, you can just generate a WSDL and schema using
Jibx2Wsdl and throw away the JiBX binding definitions, using the
generated WSDL and schema as a quick start on a start-from-WSDL
approach. The generated doc/lit wrapped WSDLs are compatible with Axis2
1.1.1 and 1.2 as well as other major web service frameworks.

Besides building JiBX binding definitions, Jibx2Wsdl differs from
Java2WSDL in that it supports Java 5 generic lists and enumerations,
exports JavaDocs as documentation in the WSDL and schema, and provides
extensive customization options to make your schemas better represent
the intent (as opposed to the implementation details) of your data
structures.
