You'll find stax development jar for version 1.1.1 located at
http://dist.codehaus.org/stax/jars/stax-1.1.1-dev.jar 
yes BEA is a contributing member to codehaus but so is Sentex, Cenqua, Atlassian, yWorks and
the ThoughtWorks Corporation
