Maybe the third time is the charm :).

Change the message to be:
   <element name="astring" type="xsd:string" />
   <message name="HelloWorld.Execute">
       <part name="nameParam" element="wsdlns:astring">
           <documentation xa:default="" xa:description="" />
       </part>
   </message>

I had the right words, wrong wsdl :).
