Subject Re: [NEWBIE] Axis or SOAP

I had started down the path of Apache SOAP for a few weeks and ended up
scrapping it for Axis. A requirement for me was interop with the MS Soap
Toolkit. Apache-SOAP did not support SOAP Header session management, which
I ultimately needed. Also there were a number of other interop issues
including parameter typing which you could get around by putting ungainly
entries into the deployment descriptor, which would not be a big deal for a
small service, but when you start dealing with a few dozen procedures it
becomes a maintenance headache.

I've already found interop with Axis has been much more friendly. Overall,
I've been much happier with Axis.

Les
