Why are you using Eclipse, any particular reason, because you could use Forte for Java. That's
what I use and it has kicking JSP / Servlet support (especially in the 4.0 Early Access Version,
just have to ignore an exception when it starts up).

I made sure that everything was blown away under tomcat, and both jdk's. I don't have cocoon
installed. The only thing I really have is tomcat and axis. I'm starting to think it's the
eclipse ide marking the classes as the wrong version. I have it set to use the 1.3 jdk (the
only one on here now), as well as making the classes 1.3 compatible and the source 1.3 compatible,
but nothing seems to work. This is driving me nuts. I've made sure to rebuild the classes
under the new settings, but to no avail. I'm almost positive it's eclipse now.

  Aaaarrrrgggg!!!!

Make sure that you have deleted the files from your work directory under tomcat (they are
simply compiled jsps so it shouldn't matter, but you never know), make sure that you do not
have a newer copy of the tools.jar in your path (you will get that if you have Cocoon installed
as well (like I did)).

Does anyone know how in the name of all that's holy do I stop this error from occurring?
 I've upgraded from tomcat 4.0.3 to 4.0.4-b2, unistalled jdk1.4, unistalled and re-installed
1.3.1_02 and nothing makes it go away.

    Help me, cause I'm stoopid.

This error is caused by upgrading from 1.3.1 to 1.4 of the JDK.

It is a funny thing. I shouldn't be getting them. The Tomcat is using 1.3.1_02, and
that's what the web service was made with (as a matter of fact, the exact same ones, because
they're both on the same machine), so it makes no sense to me. I am using the Eclipse build
20020321, so I was thinking maybe it's not switching the jre from 1.4 (which I also have,
but only the jre, and tomcat needs the jdk, which the only version I have is 1.3.1_02). Glad
to see I'm not the only person having this problem.

I get a similar error when I try to use jdk1.3.1_03 with my Java IDE.
It mystified me, so I'm avoiding 1.3.1_03 in favor of either 1.3.1_02
or 1.4.0. I'd sure be interested in what's up with this, as well!

      Hi all

Does anyone get this error? It seems that I don't really get it until I include a utility
library that I made that gets included into the class that is called via axis.
