Subject [jira] Commented: (TRANSPORTS-33) Override the stop method properly in the MailTransportSender
Date Mon, 21 Feb 2011 13:25:38 GMT

Hiranya Jayathilaka commented on TRANSPORTS-33:
-----------------------------------------------

A simple implementation for the stop method could be:

public void stop() {
        super.stop();
        metrics.reset();
        smtpUsername = null;
        smtpPassword = null;
        smtpBccAddresses = null;
        smtpFromAddress = null;
        session = null;
    }

(I'm getting an error when trying to attach this as a patch. So I'm posting this as a comment.)

> Currently the mail transport sender does not override the stop method. As a result the
server can send out mails even after invoking the stop operation on the sender via JMX.
