Subject [jira] Resolved: (AXIS2-2333) Wrong parameter names for mail transport in axis2.xml
Date Sat, 07 Apr 2007 10:15:32 GMT

Saminda Wishwajith Abeyruwan resolved AXIS2-2333.

    Resolution: Fixed

After Axis2 1.1 release, we have done major architectural changes to mail transport configuration.
Mail transport uses Java Mail API. Rather introducing new properties, in the new model we
allow user to use Java Mail properties instead. One could configure the transport in axis2.xml
using parameters or in runtime using properties. Be it parameter or property, the key will
be a Java Mail configuration key. Ex:

Listener configuration.

If configured pragmatically,
	Properties pp = new Properties();
        // Java Mail Key/Value pairs

        // Axis2 specific Key/Value pairs

As you can see configuration consists of two parts. Java Mail related key/value pairs and
Axis2 specific key/value pairs.

One could use as many key/value pairs given by Java Mail. There exist only three Axis2 key/value
pairs. They start with "transport." prefix. It will be used to set the pop password, reply
to address and listener retrying interval.

Via Axis2.xml

<transportReceiver name="mailto" class="org.apache.axis2.transport.mail.SimpleMailListener">
        <parameter name="">localhost</parameter>
        <parameter name="mail.pop3.user">red</parameter>
        <parameter name="">pop3</parameter>
        <parameter name="transport.mail.pop3.password">red</parameter>
        <parameter name="transport.mail.replyToAddress">red@localhost</parameter>
        <parameter name="transport.listener.interval">3000</parameter>

<transportSender name="mailto" class="org.apache.axis2.transport.mail.MailTransportSender">
        <parameter name="">localhost</parameter>

"parameter" elements' @name will hold the keys.
