Subject [jira] Created: (AXIS2-1036) The property WS_ADDRESSING_VERSION is currently overloaded.
Date Tue, 15 Aug 2006 17:11:13 GMT
The property WS_ADDRESSING_VERSION is currently overloaded.
-----------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: AXIS2-1036
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-1036
             Project: Apache Axis 2.0 (Axis2)
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: core
            Reporter: Brian DePradine

The property WS_ADDRESSING_VERSION is currently used to indicate both, which addressing handler
WAS run (based on the addressing namesapce defined for this property), and that an addressing
handler HAS run (based on the property being not null). I would like to change the semantics
of this property to just indicate which addressing handler SHOULD run (based on the addressing
namespace). This will allow another handler, such as a security handler, to be able to specify
which addressing handler should be run on an inbound message. If any handler tried to do this
today, using this property, then neither of the addressing handlers would run, due to the
overloaded semantics. Patch to follow.
