Subject [jira] Commented: (AXIS2-619) nullpointer when EPR not defined in client
Date Wed, 26 Apr 2006 09:42:04 GMT
    [ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-619?page=comments#action_12376447 ]

Deepal Jayasinghe commented on AXIS2-619:
-----------------------------------------

I just try the following and get the following result and I know that is the correct behavior.

       OMElement payload = createEnvelope();
        ServiceClient client = new ServiceClient();
        Options options = new Options();
        options.setTransportInProtocol(Constants.TRANSPORT_HTTP);
        options.setTransportOut(new TransportOutDescription(new QName(
                Constants.TRANSPORT_HTTP)));
        OMElement result = client.sendReceive(payload);

org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: No address information in EPR, cannot infer transport

	at org.apache.axis2.description.OutInAxisOperationClient.execute(OutInAxisOperation.java:236)
	at org.apache.axis2.client.ServiceClient.sendReceive(ServiceClient.java:455)
	at org.apache.axis2.client.ServiceClient.sendReceive(ServiceClient.java:397)

>         Type: Bug

>   Components: core
>     Versions: 0.95
> Reporter: Thomas Van de Velde

>
> You are expected to set the TransportOutDescription when the EPR is not defined in the
client. The AxisEngine will now throw a nullpointer.
> Client:
> 			Options options = new Options();
> 			options.setTransportInProtocol(Constants.TRANSPORT_HTTP);
> 			options.setTranportOut(new TransportOutDescription(new QName(
> 					Constants.TRANSPORT_HTTP)));
> 			//options.setTo(EPR);
> Problem Area:
> AxisEngine
> TransportOutDescription transportOut = msgContext.getTransportOut();
> TransportSender sender = transportOut.getSender();
> sender is null.
