There was a service running at that endpoint (for the soapbuilders
interop testing) it has however been down for quite a while now,
previous attempts to prod people to get the endpoint active again have
always failed.

Perhaps the axis2 folks will put up an interop endpoint ?

Cheers
Simon

Subject: http://ws.apache.org:5049 ?

Hi there-

Out of curiosity, this page...
http://ws.apache.org/axis/java/user-guide.html

References this URL...

             "http://ws.apache.org:5049/axis/services/echo";

... for an echo test. After doing a few quick searches on the internet,
I've also seen this service on "nagoya.apache.org:5049"

However, there doesn't appear to be a service responding on port 5049 at
either location. Is this service supposed to exist, or are these
faux-URLs that keep popping up in Axis examples solely for the purpose
of demonstrating the format of an endpoint?
