Subject [jira] Commented: (AXIS-2249) CLONE -Array deserialization

Tom Jordahl commented on AXIS-2249:
-----------------------------------

FYI
Around Axis 1.1 the array code was changed to not allocate the size of the array as specified
in the SOAP to protect against a DOS attach where a malicious person could POST a small amount
of XML that claims to need a 1,000,000,000 size array of something.

> Key: AXIS-2249

> Type: Bug
> Components: Serialization/Deserialization
> Versions: 1.2RC3

> When running TCK for JOnAS, sometimes, I fall on array deserialization issue :
> The SOAP Message contains 3 elements of the array, but the constructed array only has
the last element. So its size is 1, instead of 3!
> The problem only occurs when using Array with Helper :
> ArrayofBook
> -> Book[] arrayOfBook
> +
> ArrayOfBook_Helper
> I'll attach a patch for test.holders that reproduce this problem.
> failures will appear for testInOutBookArray
