Subject [jira] Updated: (AXIS-1938) Slow Service object creation
Date Mon, 09 May 2005 11:20:10 GMT
     [ ]

Kevin Phipps updated AXIS-1938:

Running the attached code, the Service object takes about 4 seconds to create on a Sun Blade
100 with 1GB RAM. On a dual Xeon 1.5GHz Windows 2000 machine with 2GB RAM it takes around
1 second. Both machines run Java 1.4.2.

I also received an email from somebody experiencing the same problems on an AIX machine. He
says that the line:

WSHubReceiverService locator = new WSHubReceiverServiceLocator();

takes 6.5 seconds to execute for him. However he has no problems on a Linux machine.

Hope this provides some help to resolve this issue.

seems to take an excessive amount of time. It seems to vary between 5 and 10 seconds depending
on the length of classpath I have set. Is this normal?
> I could not find any such problems reported on this system. On the web I only found one
mention of the same problem but no solution is suggested (apart from using something other
than Axis). See:
