Subject [jira] Commented: (AXIS-1686) java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError for org.apache.axis.message.MessageElement.addTextNode(MessageElement.java:1388)
Date Fri, 24 Dec 2004 05:16:09 GMT

Dominik Kacprzak commented on AXIS-1686:
----------------------------------------

GU,

I suggested that you check if there are no conflicting saaj definitions in your classpath
 based on your original comment. If you still think that this could be an issue, you can
download a nightly build. I modified happyaxis.jsp to detect conflicts caused by incorrect
saaj definition.

Going back to your problem, can you please explain what you are trying to accomplish? I'm
not sure how we got from the original bug report to implementing custom providers.

Looking forward to your response,

- Dominik

> Soap request with
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
> <SOAPEvnelope>
> ...
> </SOAPEnvelope>
> if only with
> <SOAPEvnelope>
> ...
> </SOAPEnvelope>
> there is no error
> I modify the implementation of this method to
>           org.apache.axis.message.Text text = new org.apache.axis.message.Text(s);
>           text.setOwnerDocument(getOwnerDocument());
>           appendChild(text);
> it does work for me.
> I guest it's because javax.xml.**.java in axis are incompatible with saaj.jar/jaxrpc.jar
in axis/lib
