AxisMora, done by Srinath, Dimuthu, JK and Thayapavan in last
Fall also used a pull API to re-do parts of Axis/Java. That
code is in the contrib/ directory of Axis/Java .. and with
larger data it was doing up to 10x faster than Axis/Java.

There's no question that a pull approach is the way to go.
