Check out the Axis Wiki at http://nagoya.apache.org/wiki/apachewiki.cgi?AxisProjectPages/AxisBooks
for an updated reference.

Hamish,

The Wrox book on Axis, titled "Axis: Next Generation Java SOAP" does include an implementation
of a response time logger that is based on the idea you were thinking of using the request
and response handlers. The code for the book should be available somewhere on the web.

Hope this helps.

Odysseas

Subject: Performance Monitoring on AXIS

Hello All,

Currently I am trying to figure out the best way to record response times for our Web Services
using AXIS.

My initial thoughts were to log the start time in the request handler and the end time in
the response handler.

Does anyone know if AXIS provides any methods for logging performance ? Or will I have to
add my own as mentioned above?

Thanks,

Hamish.
